Things got tense outside a New York City courthouse when rapper Remy Ma allegedly engaged in a heated exchange with Jazmin Dior, the daughter of Darius Guillebeaux, the man her son Jayson “Jace” Scott is accused of killing in 2021.

According to reports from AllHipHop, Remy was seen arguing with Dior on the sidewalk before tensions escalated and authorities briefly detained the Bronx rapper. Dior filmed parts of the confrontation and shared them to Instagram, showing her calling Remy out directly. “You trying to act like you’re tough… go around the corner.” Remy fired back, “Come on, beat me up,” before the video abruptly cuts. Dior later posted a photo showing Remy in handcuffs.

Following the incident, Dior took to social media again to reflect on the emotional exchange. “You would have thought I did something to you,” she said. “Realistically, I can never speak to my father again… You can see your son.” She added that Remy gave her “a whole attitude,” and questioned, “Where’s your remorse?”

Scott is currently facing serious charges including first- and second-degree murder, multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment in the first degree. He was indicted alongside a second suspect, 22-year-old Richard Swygert.

In the wake of Scott’s arrest, Remy Ma’s legal team issued a statement defending his innocence. “Very serious unfounded allegations have been made,” the statement read, via People. “Remy Ma wished to address this personally, but has been advised not to speak publicly while the case is active.”

The statement continued, “To be clear, Jayson Scott is innocent and Remy Ma is committed to proving his innocence and fully supporting her child during this time. We hope the NYPD conducts a complete and thorough investigation to reveal the truth.”

Remy Ma, who has long carried herself as a protective mother and fierce supporter of her family, now finds herself navigating one of the most difficult moments of her public and personal life. The road ahead is uncertain, but for now, all eyes remain on the courtroom.
